Joe is celebrating his twentieth year in teaching. He began teaching third grade in a private school in Manhattan and sixth grade in Queens, NY. He has been teaching general and AP high school English in Bridgeport Connecticut since moving to the state with his young family in 2004.
Joe holds a Master's degree in English Education from Queens College, City University of New York, holds active Connecticut teaching and administration certifications (015 and 092), and is a Doctoral Candidate at Southern Connecticut State University in New Haven, Connecticut.
Together with his wife and two sons, Joe enjoys tinkering with vintage road bicycles, long distance cycling and cycle touring, camping and hiking, music, good food and company, and fixing up and sailing the family's "free" fifty year old sailboat, the Ramblin Rose.
Joe currently serves on the Board of Deacons of Milford's First United Church of Christ, Congregational, and enjoys singing baritone in the adult choir.
